Toph was not one to openly show emotion. She always seemed to wear a smile or a look of utter indifference. She was not gentle or extremely kind. Aang dreaded performing an earthbending move incorrectly because he knew he would have to face the wrath of Sifu Toph.
But Toph also taught him some things he had not expected. He’d never actually felt an element before. Sure, he’d been pretty close, but he’d never really bonded with air, water, or fire. Toph made him curious. He had once stolen from the campsite at night and wrapped his belt around his eyes. He had felt the earth, becoming one with it. He finally understood the magnitude of the simple statement from so long ago, when Toph had told him how she saw.
There was something else she had taught him. She had unknowingly showed him that even her hard outer shell was sometimes penetrated. One night, when the fire had died out and everyone had gone to sleep, Aang had seen a figure slipping out of the clearing that held their campsite. He saw that Toph's earth tent was empty and climbed a tree to follow her. He moved lightly, hoping he was not sending too many vibrations through the trees. He noticed Toph stop on the bank of a river and collapse on the ground in a heap.
Aang cautiously slid to the ground at the edge of the forest and stood there, watching her. After abut fifteen minutes, she straightened so that she was kneeling. Hunched over, her body began to tremble. It took him a few minutes to realize that she was crying. Toph was crying.
Without thinking, he stood up and went over to her. He placed his hand on her shoulder, then sat down next to her. She sniffed, and her tears stopped falling. She leaned on him and said in a quiet whisper, "You better not tell anyone, Twinkle Toes."
Aang smiled, and they both sat there for quite some time, enjoying the silence of the night together.

Taang
Toph grew tired of Aang constantly following her, always asking if she was fine. She had been the Blind Bandit for years! She didnt need him clinging on her all the time. Six years after the war, and now he decided to be obsessive.
She could feel his footsteps near her, even though he tried to walk on air. Did he really think she didnt know? Twinkle Toes! Stop doing that! She growled.
But I just want to make sure youre ok. His head peered from around the corner of their room.
Im fine. She snarled. She could feel her emotions running thin. All she wanted was peace and quiet. Why co

Taang-Love Punch
Later on, she realized that summer day was when everything changed. The day his heartbeat changed around her.
Almost two months after the end of the war and Toph still hadnt seen her parents. She, with the help of Katara, wrote to them often. However, her thirteenth birthday was fast approaching and that obviously meant a trip back home to her parents. And parties. With dresses. The last part she dreaded the most. She could deal with parents to some degree and parties to an extent, but to have to dress up was worse than facing the Fire Lord. Simply put, she hated them. And to top it off, Katara told her she had to find a new dress beca

Epilogue- The Beginning
Lying in the dark, Katara felt herself rising with the sun, and she rubbed her belly gently, knowing the cause.
The small bump was hardly obvious, but the thickness of her thighs and rear had not gone unnoticed. Zuko had jokingly pinched her the day before and to her detriment, told her he liked the way she was filling out. Katara cringed at that. She felt like a cowpig as much as she ate.
It had been nearly three months since the tragic Agni Kai and not many things had changed. She was still not wed to Zuko. Two months her husband held the Firenation in mourning. He explained to Katara that it would not hurt to wai

*gasp* I wrote Taang!
Wow, ran out of descriptive words there.
Actually, just ran out of words.
Yeah, this was mostly just to improve my typing. (big typing test coming up and I'm not allowed to hunt and peck!)
I think there are a lot of fanfics like this, but oh well.
Toph and Aang belong to Mike and Brian and Nick.
